Phase Two
Designed for individuals who have completed treatment (chemotherapy and/or radiation) or those graduating from phase one. The goal of this phase is to build a foundational base with functional and corrective exercise. While there may continue to be little improvement from baseline, there should be no decline. The focus of phase two is to identify and correct any impairments that may have developed or worsened during treatment. The intensity remains low and participants are encouraged to continue training 2-3 days a week with a cancer exercise specialist while introducing independent workouts an additional 1-2 days a week.
Who
Patients that have completed Phase One, patients first entering the program but are not undergoing treatment and patients who have just finished treatment.
Goal
Correct structural, functional and physical deviations as a result of cancer treatments.
